The Christian lifestyle grows out of the life of Christ being expressed by the power of His Holy Spirit living in us. Our aim at Eastwest College is to become people whose lives are marked by radical love, deep trust and joyful service —all growing out of knowing how much God loves us!
Radical love—The reason why Jesus Christ died was to make it possible for us to have a relationship with God as our Heavenly Father. Only when we are convinced that He loves us can we respond in love to Him, and then offer the same radical love to people around us.
Deep trust—any community is built on trust. As we become convinced that God is both powerful and good, all the time, our trust in Him deepens and we are drawn into the love that already exists between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Deep trust expresses itself in radical obedience, as we align our lives to God’s will and reach out to embrace others.
Joyful service—practical Christianity is loving and serving one another as Christ loves and serves us. Every day there are opportunities to serve within the College and in the wider community. Mother Theresa said, “Not everyone can do great things. But everyone can do small things with great love.”
